A note
For payments, operations and fraud teams
Dear payments and operations team,
The project of mine closest to your work is LedgerGym, a test range for AI bookkeeping agents. It writes complete books with every answer known, plants fifteen kinds of problem, and scores an agent on how much of a month it can do unattended at under 1% error. Three things from it matter for operations.
Payouts are the hard part. When a processor's payout report is missing, one deposit can have several exact explanations: in one simulated month, eight combinations of sales fit a $4,637.06 deposit to the cent. Try it yourself.
Fraud rules and injection are different problems. The rules baseline caught every vendor bank-account change and ghost employee, but only 62% of instructions hidden inside documents.
Confidence matters as much as accuracy. The score counts how much an agent can decide alone while staying under one mistake in a hundred, so an agent that is sure of its mistakes scores badly.
LedgerGym grew out of my summer at Youde Investment Management, where I rebuilt about $37 million of fund flows from two years of raw bank records, matching transfers across accounts into a shareholder ledger that became key evidence in a corporate dispute.
If any of this is close to what your team works on, I'd be glad to talk. I'm looking for a part-time, remote internship, 10 to 20 hours a week: adamzhao795@gmail.com.
