About
About me
I grew up in China, came to the United States for high school, and started college at Ohio State before transferring to UNC Chapel Hill, where I finished a degree in economics with a minor in statistics. I'm now in Duke's Master of Engineering in Financial Technology program.
The work I enjoy most sits between economics and engineering: data that looks clean until you reconcile it, and models whose results depend on what was known when. At Youde Investment Management I rebuilt about $37 million of fund flows from two years of raw bank records, and the ledger became key evidence in a corporate dispute. My research projects grew out of the same habit: check what the data quietly rewrites, test whether a result survives a harder look, and report it either way.
Experience
Youde Investment Management, Qingdao
Financial and Strategy Analyst Intern
- Rebuilt RMB 265 million (about $37 million) of historical fund flows and shareholder transactions from two years of raw bank records: cleaned, de-duplicated and matched transfers across accounts, then mapped counterparties into a shareholder ledger that became key financial evidence in a corporate dispute.
- Built a regression model of office-property values and ran depreciation and downside scenarios on the firm's real-estate exposure, quantifying RMB 40 million (about $5.6 million) of potential losses for the strategy review.
ASTONE Consulting, Sunnyvale
Strategy Consulting Intern
- Built a CRM-enabled outreach workflow (segmented lead lists, email sequencing, LinkedIn touches, response tracking) for a Japanese enterprise-software client entering the US; online lead generation doubled over the engagement.
- Built risk-factor profiles of historical Japanese software entrants and current US prospects; roughly 10% overlap in key structural factors supported the market-entry recommendation.
KPMG Risk Consulting, Beijing
Risk Consulting Intern
- Co-developed a weighted-average investment risk index that separates policy, market and execution factors, and applied it to overseas energy projects for four clients, including a $400 million investment in Brazil completed in 2025.
- Synthesized intellectual-property and workforce data into an internal-structure optimization for an energy client and presented the recommendations to client leadership.
